It’s been a terrific few years for music documentaries, and that winning streak continues with “Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World.” If you couldn’t name two Native American musicians at the beginning of the documentary, you’ll remember at least a half-dozen after the end.

Simply Show Up!

Family fun for all ages including relaxed performances and musical activities for preschool children – ending with a songwriting spectacle!

The afternoon begins with a series of musical activities for preschoolers under age six, helping them learn the building blocks of music, such as rhythm via dancing. This is followed by a songwriting spectacle for all ages with a special performance by living folk legend Jerry Gray, who leads the audience through the song “This Land Is Your Land” (Canadian version based on the original Woodie Guthrie song).

What Are Relaxed Performances?

Relaxed performances are informal concerts designed for youth who have autism, sensory communication disorders or learning difficulties. A ‘chill-out’ zone is provided for distressed children and includes fidget toys and stress balls; volunteer staff are briefed on how to help children with their special needs; chattering and shouting are fully accepted without any worry about etiquette.
