Ticketing

When will physical tickets be available for sale?

A limited amount of physical tickets will be sold on the sole basis of public healthy authority guidelines. We will allow the sales of these tickets as soon as we receive permission to do so.

We highly recommend that you create a FREE account or sign-up to our newsletter in order to find out more about the availability of these tickets.

Please note that due to limited quantities, we are only selling season passes (GOLD Pass) in the form of physical tickets. It is not possible to buy physical tickets for individual events at the current time.

Will tickets be available at the door?

GOLD Passes can be purchased at the door using any major credit card (NO cash allowed). However, there is no guarantee of securing them due to limited availability. We strongly recommend purchasing your tickets online well ahead of the concert dates or by phoning in with your credit card details to ensure physical attendance. We will only be allowed to let in a small, physical audience into our auditorium this year in light of the current circumstances.

Can I buy multiple tickets/passes to gift for friends and family?

Absolutely! You can buy as many tickets and season passes as you would like. After placing your order, simply send us a note specifying the name(s) and email(s) of the gift recipients. We will then send them a gift certificate for the value of your order. How do I order tickets for virtual events?

You can either purchase a DIGITAL Pass to view all festival events virtually, or visit each individual event page and purchase a 24-HOUR Pass for only that event (scroll down to the bottom of an event page to purchase individual tickets).

Upon completing the order process, you will receive a unique access link via email. Click this link (or copy and paste into your browser) to view the performance on the scheduled date/time.

Note: Be sure to register for an event as early as possible, as email servers can sometimes experience large delays in sending out the access link.

Contact us if you have not received your access link within an hour after ordering.

 

How many people are allowed to watch the livestreams per ticket purchase?

Each ticket purchase is per household (or IP address), not per person – so no matter how many people will be watching in your household, you only need to buy a single ticket/pass.

For security reasons, the ticket/pass cannot be shared with anyone outside of your immediate household. Each new household (or IP address) requires a separate purchase account.

Note: you must be logged in to your account in order to watch the livestreams.

Do I have to create an account on this site to watch the livestreams?

For security reasons, an account is required on this website in order to watch the virtual events.

You can quickly and securely create an account on this website here. Click the padlock icon found on the top right-hand corner of this site to access your online account at anytime.

An online account also ensures that:

  • All your ticket orders and donation receipts are available in one place, should you ever lose your initial order email.
  • You will quickly receive critical updates pertaining to festival events
  • You’ll get exclusive deals on selected future products not available to anyone else

Are all the paid performances taking place live, or will they be pre-recorded?

Each of the paid performances will feature live performers on stage. As a GOLD pass holder, you’ll be able to enjoy each of our performances as you would during any other festival year.

Occasionally, we may prerecord certain elements to be projected on the background screen during the live performances, but these are solely designed to enhance the production.

How does a DIGITAL ticket differ from just another YouTube recording?

Each of our participating performers prepare a specially-designed program for our festival each year and perform it live at our auditorium in New Life Church.

Aside from the fact that no two performances are ever the same, your DIGITAL pass also enables you to interact with the performers during a live Q & A session at each event.

Further, we have partnered with a local film production company to put a unique Collingwood ‘stamp’ on each of our events, using a wide array of creative filming techniques that showcase all of the splendid, local talent found in our community. Your patronage ensures that we can keep this festival running for many years to come.

Season Passes

Can I upgrade from a DIGITAL Pass to a GOLD Pass, once they are available?

Yes! You can easily upgrade your Festival Pass at anytime.

Login to your account using the same email used for your DIGITAL Pass order and you will be able to purchase a GOLD Pass upgrade, once tickets become available.

You can also reach out to customer support if you need assistance.

Does a GOLD Pass offer entry to every live event?

Yes! If we are permitted to have a live audience physically present in our auditorium this year, your GOLD pass will allow entry to every single event taking place this summer.

Livestreaming

Is my Internet connection fast enough to watch the virtual concerts?

Please do a free Internet speed test at https://www.speedtest.net to check your download speed before logging on to the virtual events. You need a minimum speed of 2 Mbps to watch the concerts in standard resolution and 5 Mbps to view in high-definition or HD.

Our servers will automatically adjust to your home internet’s bandwidth capacity. However, if you find yourself experiencing continuous problems with freezing images, consider calling your ISP (Internet Service Provider) for suggestions on how to improve your connection.

Do I need any special equipment for the livestreams?

You can use any device (i.e. smartphone, tablet, computer) with an internet connection, although the use of headphones is strongly recommended. Download the Zoom application (Zoom Client for Meetings) to your computer well in advance in order to ensure quick and efficient access to the pre-concert discussions.

Will the virtual events be archived for later viewing?

Yes! Each performance will be archived for one month and easily accessible using the same access link you received with your order. There’s no limit on the number of times that ticket-holders can stream the event during the period that it’s available online.

Note: Archived videos are only available to customers and do not include all the segments of a virtual event, such as the pre-concert discussions or post-concert interviews with artists.

Are the livestreams professionally broadcasted and recorded?

We have partnered with a professional film production team and hired a sound engineer with decades of experience in recording and broadcasting classical music events.

Naturally, these have contributed many unforeseen expenses for this festival year and we greatly appreciate your donations to help us stay afloat. The hybrid model of livestreaming in addition to selling physical tickets is an exciting, new avenue for the festival that we may continue to explore in future years!

I bought a ticket. How do I watch the events on my computer or mobile device?

These are probably the easiest options, but they also provide the smallest surface area from which to view the concert. Using your computer does have its perks, however, as you will have access to your keyboard to type comments during the performance and questions for the live Q & A’s occurring during the performances!

  1. Open the “Your Ticket(s)” email you received after placing an order on our site.
  2. Click on the secret access link.
  3. Sit back and watch the event!

I bought a ticket. How do I watch the events on my TV?

This option requires a little more work on your end, but the reward of viewing our events on a ‘big screen’ will surely be worth it!

No matter what kind of TV or streaming device you have, you will first need to open our event on your computer or phone. Follow the instructions listed above to do so. Now, here are a couple of ways you can get your computer or phone screen to show up on your television:

Plug an HDMI Cord into your computer.

If your computer has an HDMI slot, this will be the easiest option. You most likely already have an HDMI cord connected to your TV, allowing you to watch a DVD/Blu-Ray player or another external drive. Here’s how to use it in collaboration with your laptop.

  1. Keep one end of your HDMI cord attached to your TV.
  2. Plug the other end of the HDMI cord into your laptop.
  3. Click the input button on your TV’s remote and switch the HDMI to ‘HDMI 1’, ‘HDMI 2’, or ‘HDMI 3’, depending on which port your HDMI cord is plugged into on your TV.
  4. If the image from your computer doesn’t automatically pop up onto your TV, go to your computer and switch its display settings to ‘mirror’.

Use Airplay.

If you have an AppleTv and an Apple Phone, iPad, or Mac computer, this option is very easy to accomplish! Just click the AIRPLAY button on your computer or phone and choose your TV from the menu that appears.

Use SmartTV.

If you own an SmartTV, you should be able to access the internet browsing function using your Apps page. Simply type in the access link in the browser’s address bar and then login to the website using your login/password.

Mirror your Windows Device on your Roku.

If you have a computer or phone using Windows 8 or above, your device can easily be mirrored on your TV using your Roku.

Cast to an Amazon Firestick

Just like with a Roku device, computers and phones running on Windows 8 or above are capable of mirroring their screens using  the Amazon Firestick.

This article will help you set it up, as well as giving Apple users an app they can use to project their computer or phone screen onto their TV.

Use Google Chromecast.

Chromecast can be used with both Mac and PCs, making it a good option for most households. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to set it up:

1. With the TV turned on and the Chromecast running, go to your computer.
2. Access the website with the video you want to cast, for example, follow your digital ticket link 10 – 30 minutes before our Gilmore live stream.
3. Go to the three dots icon in the upper right corner, find CAST in that menu.
4. Click on CAST and select the device available, which should be the Chromecast you set up.
5. Once you click the available device, casting should begin.
6. Put the website on “full screen,” found in the bottom right corner of a video player, and enjoy the concert!
7. If “Optimize for Streaming” comes up as an option, click OPTIMIZE for the best viewing and listening experience!

 

 

How do I get the best sound quality possible, if streaming from my phone or computer?

Speakers made for music are often different from speakers on a mobile device or a computer. Music with a wide dynamic range, like classical music, is best listened to through speakers or headphones made for music. 

If you just want to hear the audio, and watch the stream on a mobile device or computer, you can connect your device to any bluetooth speaker you may have in the home. 

  1. Turn on the Bluetooth device and make sure it’s synced to your device or in sync mode.
  2. If it doesn’t automatically sync, under the “bluetooth” settings of your device, select the device and pair it with your mobile device.
    1. Settings → Bluetooth → My Devices → select the device you want to connect to
  3. Once connected, your mobile device bluetooth settings will say ”connected” and the bluetooth speaker will be an option to send the video audio to.

Are the events actually taking place live, or will they be pre-recorded?

All concerts are taking place live in our auditorium, as they would during any festival year. All ticket-holders will enjoy the spontaneity that comes with a live event, whether they view the concerts remotely or are able to join us physically this year.

Billing

What happens in the event that a concert is cancelled?

After 2020, we are ready for anything and everything! In the event physical events are cancelled, you will have the option to downgrade your ticket to a digital-only pass or can request a full refund of the ticket cost.

Film productions are allowed to go on even during lockdown, as long as all the necessary health precautions are followed. However, in the event that the festival needs to be postponed for any reason, you are entitled to hold onto your ticket or request a full refund.

In lieu of a refund, you are also welcome to contribute a portion or all of your ticket value, in exchange for a tax-receipt. This will help us offset our losses and keep the project alive for future seasons.

When will I receive my tax receipt?

In most cases, you will receive an official tax receipt for income tax purposes via email immediately after donating online. The fastest way to donate is by using a credit card online.

You will receive a secure link in your email that will allow you to instantly download a PDF copy of your tax receipt. You can also login to your account and access your PDF receipts at anytime, using the same purchase email.

In a few cases, there may be delays in receiving your receipt, due to the extra processing time involved with some transactions: i.e. cashing mailed-in checks.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to TRIPLE-CHECK your email when placing an order on our site, to ensure a timely delivery!

Creating an Account

How do I create an account on the festival website?

If you don’t already have an account, please visit the following link and add your email address in the “Register” section: https://www.collingwoodfestival.com/my-account/

A password will then be automatically generated and sent to your email address that you can use for future sign-ins.

Note: You can change your password to something more memorable, by visiting the Account Details section.

Do I have to create an account on this website in order to watch the livestreams?

For security reasons, an account is required in order to watch the livestreams. You can easily create an account at any time using the following link: https://www.collingwoodfestival.com/my-account/

If you already have an account but have forgotten your password, click on the “Lost your password” feature, found on the above-mentioned page.

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes, you can place an order for any product without an account on our site. After your first order, the system will automatically generate a login and password for you, which you will receive directly in your email inbox. Please store these login details in a secure location, as you’ll need them to place future orders or to watch the livestreams.

While placing an order, I received the following error message: "An account is already registered with your email address."

This means you already have an account with us or are an existing customer. You’ll need to login with your original email and password in order to proceed with the order.

Follow the three steps below to reset your password:
