CMF Masterclass 2026
There is a rare and profound energy that fills the room during a masterclass, and this season, the Collingwood Music Festival invites you to experience it firsthand. As part of our Youth Academy, we are opening the doors to our coaching sessions, allowing the public to sit in for free as our world-renowned festival artists mentor the next generation of musical talent.
Watching a master at work is a truly inspiring process that goes far beyond a typical concert. You will witness the raw, real-time transformation of a performance as a legendary soloist shares a single insight, perhaps a shift in breathing, a new way to phrase a melody, or a secret to stage presence, that creates an immediate “aha!” moment for the student. These sessions pull back the curtain on the discipline and passion required to reach the highest levels of excellence, offering a “fly-on-the-wall” perspective that is as educational as it is emotionally moving.
Whether you are a lifelong music lover, a student looking for motivation, or simply curious about the creative process, these open classes offer a welcoming and informal environment to connect with the arts. No tickets or pre-registration are required; we invite you to simply drop in, take a seat, and be part of the spark that happens when mastery meets potential.
