Tamar Ilana & Ventanas is a Toronto-based ensemble renowned for a high-energy fusion of Flamenco dance and music, Sephardic love songs, and Balkan dance tunes. Performing in over 20 languages, the group blends traditional material with lyrical original melodies, utilizing an eclectic array of instruments including Flamenco guitar, Middle Eastern darbuka, Greek oud, and classical violin. The result is a vivid, cross-cultural performance that weaves together soulful vocals, jazz improvisation, and the fiery intensity of live dance to create a truly global sound.
