William Salinas-Crosby. Toronto-based tenor William Salinas-Crosby is quickly emerging as a versatile and compelling presence on the opera and concert stage. Praised for his musical sensitivity and emotionally compelling performances, he commands an expansive repertoire of art song, early music, and contemporary works spanning diverse cultures and languages.
Recent engagements include performances of cantatas 91, 127, 93, and 140 with the Toronto Bach Festival, Stabat Mater (Pärt) with St. Basil’s Parish, Rejoice in the Lamb (Britten) and The Atonement (Coleridge-Taylor) with the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, Misa Criolla (Ramírez) with Pax Christi Chorale, Carmina Burana (Orff) with the Stratford Summer Music Festival 2025.
As a dedicated recitalist, William is especially committed to Iberian and Latin American repertoire, reflecting his cultural heritage. He has refined his craft through studies at the University of Toronto, l’Académie Francis Poulenc, Toronto Summer Music Academy, as well as masterclasses with esteemed international artists including Paul Agnew and François Le Roux.
