Lauren Smith


Lauren Smith is a soprano from Barrie, Ontario. At a young age, she discovered her love of singing
as a member of the Upper Canada Chorus where she was given further performance opportunity in their
Chamber Chorus. Lauren began private voice instruction with Andrea Donais at Donais Studios in
Newmarket, Ontario. As a graduate of the Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy at the Royal
Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Lauren participated in academy master classes and performances while
studying privately with Helga Tucker. Lauren has a love for sharing music through solo performances and
recitals as well as collaborative performance. Most recently, Lauren has performed in chorus with the
Mandlephilharmonic in Toronto as well as in the Royal Conservatory’s production of Poulenc’s Dialogues
des Carmélites. With a passion for music education, Lauren also dedicates her time as private voice and
piano instructor, teaching locally in Toronto. Lauren is currently studying voice performance at the Glenn
Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. She is in the studio of private teacher,
Adrianne Pieczonka, and vocal coach, Rachael Kerr
