Cadence Brassard

Organ

Cadence Brassard, 16, from Blue Mountain, has a diverse musical background. She has attended the Curtis Institute of Music’s Summer Organ Intensive, performing on the Wanamaker Organ under Professor Alan Morrison and Peter Richard Conte, and recently played at the organ at the Montreal Symphony with Professor Jean-Baptiste Robin. Cadence currently studies with Manuel Piazza, Professor Isabelle Demers, and Dr. Su Jeon Higuera, and holds a scholarship from the American Theatre Organ Society to study with Jelani Eddington. Formerly an organ scholar at Rosedale United Church under Dr. Sarah Svendsen, Cadence’s highlights include performances at Metropolitan United Church’s Phantoms of the Organ, TVOKids’ Backyard Beats, RCCO’s FutureStops Festival at Roy Thomson Hall, and the RCCO’s Organist Launchpad video series. Her goal is to collaborate more with ensembles and to make the organ more accessible to younger generations. Cadence greatly enjoys teaching her young keyboard enthusiast students at her small organ and piano studio.
